Prep & care guidelines

Before your appointment

  • exfoliate the day before or 24 hours out from your appointment. Exfoliate body with a body mitt instead of using a body scrub because they can leave a barrier on your skin.

  • waxing and shaving should be done the day before or 24-48 hours before your spray tan. Don’t shave the same day as your appointment.

  • use a GEL based body wash that is oil-free and paraben-free the day before your spray tan. Don’t use any bar soaps or cream based body washes, they can leave a film on your skin.

  • it's best to get your nails done the day before. If you get nails done on the same day, ask your nail tech to not put lotion or oil on your skin. Nails done after your spray tan, it's best to not soak, use acetone, or exfoliate, which can cause your tan to be uneven.

  • rinse day of without soap and at least four hours before your appointment. Skin should be clean without any product on skin, no perfume, no makeup, no sunscreen, no deodorant, no oils and no lotion on the body.

After your appointment

  • wear dark, loose fitting clothing that will not create marks on your body. Wear slides or sandals that won't create marks on your feet

  • while spray tan is setting avoid water, sweating, washing your hands and licks from pets until your rinse time

  • don't touch your skin with the palm of your hands to avoid tan hands

  • your first rinse in the shower will be with water ONLY at your scheduled time. Make sure water is clear before you get out of the shower and all the bronzer is completely off. It takes 24 hours for your spray tan to fully develop

  • wait 24 hours to use a gel body wash in the shower.

  • 24 hours after your first rinse, start using a moisturizer every time you get out of the shower or twice daily. Moisturizing your skin will help extend the life of your spray tan
